Total Project Management from SBS

School Business Services provide a comprehensive Project Management service across our full range of service provisions. Our unique approach to dealing with complex cross-discipline contracts ensures that each individual requirement is effectively discussed and planned in detail to ensure that the school’s required objectives are achieved on time and on budget.

Our Project Management team works closely with every other team within SBS to ensure that projects are planned accurately and consistently, whether for a single ICT project, such as a new ICT Suite or for a cross-discipline project such as a new school build encompassing Curriculum and Admin systems with full MIS integration, wired and wireless network infrastructure and financial planning.

SBS work closely with the school’s management team and together we develop and produce a detailed Project Proposal which includes a full description of the entire project. This Project Proposal includes key details such as the scope of work which details what is covered by the project; the project timescale, detailing how long the project will take and addressing which resources are required and the cost which will be associated with the entire project along with itemised quotations with any appropriate option choices.

Only once the Project Proposal is accepted in its final version will the project become live on receipt of a purchase order. The project will then be scheduled to coincide with when it is most convenient for the school to have the work completed. For major projects this is typically during longer breaks such as Easter and the Summer Holiday, although projects can be carried out at any time of year during term time if required.

Once the final proposal is agreed, full reporting is provided throughout the contract as well as regular meetings and contact with the Project Manager. Once all works are satisfactorily completed, the project is signed off by the school and all relevant documentation is made available for ongoing support as part of the school’s existing SLA agreement with SBS.

SBS’s Project Management service is provided Free of Charge to existing ICT Service Contract customers and is just one of the advantages that come delivered as standard with our ICT Services Contract to ensure total customer satisfaction. This service can also be provided to schools that do not hold current ICT Service Contracts with SBS where a quotation can be provided on request for this comprehensive service.
