Overview

School Business Services approach to Project Management is robust yet straightforward, simple and flexible. Our approach is to utilise the combined skills and experience within SBS, its Associates and Partners to meet the complex and variable needs of the projects we are asked to manage. We bring strong and experienced leadership that works with the client, the team and all other stakeholders. This in turn allows us to fulfil a strategic role and make a proactive contribution to the project delivery process.

Approach
The School Business Services Management team all have excellent technical, communication, management and above all interpersonal skills. As Project Management professionals they look to bring the best combination of educational and management expertise to bear plus a comprehensive understanding of public and private funding.

With any project SBS looks to identify a project structure that moulds itself to the products and associated work streams required in the project delivery and the key objectives that the Sponsor and or Client require.

This approach aims to immediately identify the key products or work streams that will be required to build the project. It also delivers an immediate project reporting hierarchy and a clear management structure. This in turn allows for clear risk and issue management, escalation and mitigation.
Each of these work streams or teams has a nominated team leader and these teams report on a predetermined schedule back to the Project Manager. Each team has a clear Terms of Reference and within the Project each team leader is aware of the role and responsibility of that work stream. They will also possess the requisite skills to ensure that product is delivered. Our recent project required an extensive knowledge of TUPE and other HR issues plus development of a whole range of new policies for staff and students.
