Risk Management Service

(Formerly Responsible Officer)

This service provides your academy with an appropriately qualified, experienced and independent consultant, who will undertake a series of detailed checks during termly visits.

The Risk Management Service will provide the governing body with ongoing independent assurance that:

  • The financial responsibilities of the governing body are being properly discharged
  • Resources are being managed in an efficient, economical and effective manner
  • Sound systems of internal financial control are being maintained
  • Financial considerations are fully taken into account in reaching decisions

Following our audit, we will provide the governing body with a full report to provide assurance that the areas tested are being operated satisfactorily and identify any areas for improvement in order to meet the EFA requirements.

 

Financial system set-up & chart of accounts configuration

Through a series of visits and off-site work, the SBS finance team will work with your internal stakeholders to build and structure your chart of accounts and final system to meet your individual requirements, whilst ensuring the statutory reporting of the academy are fulfilled correctly.
