The new 2019/20 National Insurance table is now available for you to apply to your budgets.

From April 2019, the employer contribution rate of 13.8% will remain the same, but the thresholds have been increased.

Instructions on how to apply the new table to your budget scenarios can be found on the SBS Online dashboard page under ‘Latest news’.

Please note: SBS Online caters for NI calculations across employees who are under 21. It also accurately calculates NI contributions where an employee holds multiple contracts.

This is a summary of the new thresholds:

Age bracket Weekly Earning (£) Yearly Earnings (£) Rate (%)
21 or over ⩽162 ⩽8632 0
0>166 >8632 13.8
Under 21 ⩽962 ⩽50000 0
>962 >5000 13.8
