As the financial year approaches one thing on everyone’s mind is creating their School Budget for next year.

We have been thinking about ways we can make creating your 2019/20 Budget easier for you. When creating your Budget, we recommend duplicating your current Working Budget. This will mean all your data from your working budget will be pulled across and you will only need to update the data accordingly. The last year of your new Budget will populate with the previous last year figures and the first year of your new Budget will be filled with the previous Budgets second year figures. Creating your New Budget is a good time to do some general housekeeping ensuring all your Budget settings are up to date. A quick way to check all your Budget Settings are up to date is via Reporting > Budget Overview, this gives you the scales, rates of Inflation and Superannuation as well as other general Budget information. Once you are happy all your settings are up to date, it is worth going through your Budget and updating it where necessary. If you follow the path Reporting > Revenue Report, this gives you a thorough over view on your budget with the ability to drill down to each individual entry on your Budget and then adjust accordingly.
