Course Overview

This Power BI course is delivered across three interactive online sessions, giving delegates time to practise their new skills between workshops and return with questions to reinforce their learning:

Session 1: Day 1, 25/11/26 10:00am - 11:30am
Session 2: Day 1, 25/11/26 1:00pm - 2:30pm
Session 3: Day 2, 26/11/26 10:00am - 12:00pm

This format allows attendees to apply what they have learned in their own environment between sessions, helping to build confidence and identify any areas where additional guidance may be beneficial.

Course Benefits

During the webinars, delegates will see real-time demonstrations of how data from a school MIS can be transformed and analysed using Power BI. Attendees will gain valuable insight into what can be achieved in-house, enabling them to create bespoke, cost-effective dashboards and reporting solutions that meet the specific needs of their school or MAT. The course will showcase practical techniques for turning raw data into meaningful visualisations that support informed decision-making and improved operational efficiency.

What You'll Learn

How Power Query can be used to prepare your data.

Using simple visuals to build a School Attendance Dashboard from scratch, including conditional formatting to highlight data that is above or below target, filtering, drilling through t further detail and more.

Including example solutions, making your reports accessible to SLT and bespoke services offered by SBS.
