Please be advised that schools have received emails today claiming that there is a student onsite with a bomb and are demanding $5,000.
We have contacted the anti-terrorism unit and they are treating this as a generic hoax as hundreds of schools have received the same email. They are not recommending schools evacuate.
We recommend that if you are unsure or require more information you contact the anti-terrorism unit on 0800 789 321.
Important: Spam emails
We are seeing an increasing number of spam emails slip through the spam filtering net into users’ inboxes.
Please read our blog for further details.
