This weekend we have released updated values for support staff national pay scales effective from 1st April 2018.

The new scales are STC (subject to confirmation) while we wait for official news about the rates in Inner London, Outer London and London Fringe, and indeed until unions accept the pay offer. In the meantime, the percentage increases applied to Main region rates have also been applied to the other three regions. The increase for April 2018 is 2% except points 6 to 19 which have been increased on a sliding percentage of between 9.191% on point 6 and 3.734% on point 19. Once all the new scale point values are confirmed across all regions, we will remove the 'STC' and notify you. Users can apply this table now if they wish to, but it should be noted that budgets may change slightly if we need to amend the rates later. The pay offer for support staff also contains recommendations for April 2019. With regard to this, we need to address the fact that some points have been collapsed and a brand-new scale has been suggested. Once we have developed a method to assist users adapting to this new scale in the software, we will tell you more very soon.
