Amelia Clark

Amelia Clark is the Business Director for Finance & Operations at SBS, bringing extensive experience in accountancy, internal audit and educational leadership. A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Internal Auditor, she previously led SBS’s Internal Scrutiny service, shaping it into a trusted and high-impact assurance function for schools and trusts.

With a background spanning public sector audit, financial management, and founding and running Outstanding-rated education settings, Amelia combines deep sector insight with practical, real-world understanding of the challenges schools face day-to-day, shaped by years of working closely with senior leaders, trustees and governing bodies.

In her role as Business Director, Amelia is responsible for strengthening and evolving SBS’s finance and operations services – ensuring they remain high-quality, resilient and aligned to the changing needs of the sector. She is committed to ensuring that SBS continues to deliver exceptional support that helps schools and trusts operate confidently, make informed decisions, and ultimately achieve the best outcomes for children and young people.
