Important Message for All Teacher App Customers – action required on 28th February 2019

The information outlined below needs to be reviewed by the member of staff responsible for the maintenance of SIMS at your school. For some schools, this may be a third party or a SIMS Support Unit so please forward this email to any relevant parties. Teacher app is getting an update that requires a patch that will automatically applied. This is due to Microsoft ending support for “Access Control Service” (ACS), which in our language, means that Capita are having to change how it works a little bit. As of Tomorrow, Thursday 28th February, and as of the patch being applied, your teachers will need to make sure that their devices have been updated to continue using the app. No action needs to be taken on the server as this should happen automatically, and our Service Desk have been calling all of our schools where we’re aware that they’re using the Teacher App to inform them.
