Spring update i. New MAT functions
We listen to our users and understand that repeated processes all add up over the academic year, and is time better used for more strategic practices. So, to save you time you will now have the option to cascade central trust level tables (teacher and support salary scales, national insurance, maternity pay and staff inflation rates) from your parent planner to the published budget scenario in child schools.
In addition to this, we understand the importance of MAT budgeting flexibility so child schools will still be able to run their own scenarios with different settings, such as varying inflation rates. But if flexibility isn't required the MAT simply has the ability to roll out tables to all schools in a 'one' click option. It's a win-win (for centralisation and autonomy)
A clever bit: Where salary scales vary per region, rolling changes out across a large trust is made easier as our system automatically detects the region of your schools to apply updates en masse.

Spring update ii. ESS SIMS integration enabled!
Continuing our objective to make lives easier for schools through True Integration, you will now be able to pull through your staff and contract information from ESS SIMS directly into SBS Budgets without a .CSV file. This streamlines your processes, improves accuracy and removes the duplication of data entry into different systems.
Note - Arbor integration is available for Arbor users.
On our roadmap for future MIS integrations are Bromcom, CMIS, Engage, Furlong, Horizons, iSams, iTrent, PA, Progresso, RM Integris, ScholarPack, Schoolpod and WCBS. Please let us know if your school would be interested in these integrations.
We'd like some volunteer schools to show us how these integrations work for them on a day-to-day basis, and to also give us further insight for future software enhancements. Please contact us if you are interested.

Spring update iii. SBS Assist
A new self-help module that will help both new and existing customers by providing a range of ‘how to’ guides for all SBS Online software, which will also be a general budgeting CPD resource.
Whilst we love speaking to users regularly, we believe this will enable users to self-serve their troubleshooting at their convenience and add-value to their software use/CPD. But by all means, do call us to discuss the SBS Assist video you're watching for added 'added-value' :).
