National Living and Minimum Wage April 2018

The Government have announced that with effect from 1 April 2018 the National Living Wage (NLW) and National Minimum Wage (NMW) will increase. The National Minimum Wage applies to workers under 25 and the National Living Wage applies to workers over 25.

The current National Living and Minimum Wage rates are:

  • National Living Wage - £7.83
  • National Minimum Wage for 21 - 24 years - £7.38
  • National Minimum Wage for 18 - 20 years - £5.90
  • National Minimum Wage for under 18 years - £4.20
  • Apprentice rate - £3.70
