The National Tutoring Programme (NTP) is high quality, heavily subsidised tutoring for schools from an approved list of tuition partners.

Three of our sister companies Protocol Education, Teaching Personnel and Fleet Tutors are among the 32 approved partners from the 400 or so who applied. It is providing additional support to schools to help disadvantaged pupils whose education has been most affected by school closures. Between them, they have reached tens of thousands or pupils in hundreds of schools.

About the National Tutoring Programme (NTP)

In summer 2020, the government announced the National Tutoring Programme (NTP) to help support disadvantaged pupils to catch-up on missed learning. One pillar of NTP is the academic mentor programme.

Academic mentors will support one-to-one and small-group, subject-specific tuition. They may also support revision lessons and provide additional support for pupils shielding or not in school. Academic mentors will be a part of their school’s staff team and will be supported and managed by the school to deliver tutoring that is appropriate, timely, and linked to their curriculum.

Let's hear from one of our schools

This is a paragraph from one of Protocol’s tutors showing how it has benefitted children in one school.

"After completing my first NTP block of sessions I am delighted with the whole experience!! The feedback from the Headteacher and staff at Paulton Infants regarding progress of all the children has been amazing. The sessions have allowed all children to succeed and achieve progress. It’s been great watching the progress first-hand, from the beginning and then at the end of the Programme.  I could not have done this without the consistent support and guidance from both Gill and Josie.  The success has been down to their hands-on approach and always being available when needed. On the back of this I am now doing another block of sessions in another school and returning to the first school for more sessions!!"
