The SIMS Autumn Census 2019 will be on Thursday 3rd October

The Autumn term has well and truly begun and so as you start to relax a bit after the frantic start along comes the SIMS Autumn Census to raise your stress levels again! Below you will find the new additions to the census (since there always needs to be sometime new!) as well as the "preparing" and "producing" guides. As you can see, one main item for all schools, and a couple of bits for 6th Forms / Colleges to enable the correcting of issues from previous years. We are also expecting a new fileset to be released any day now (fileset 1304) and we will send out a new blog when this is available. All schools will need to import this fileset to enable you to carry out your census. And lastly, do make sure that your SIMS has been updated to the latest version (7.188), otherwise you won’t even be able to see your census at all!

Exclusions

Items collected for 2018 will also be collected for 2019, but will be collected for one and two terms previous rather than just two terms previous. From the spring census onwards this data will be collected for just one term previous. Lunch time exclusions will no longer be collected. The DfE will expect the following data items to be stored by schools from the start of academic year 2019/2020 onwards, but this CANNOT be collected in School Census Autumn 2019 as this will collect exclusion data for the last two terms of academic year 2018/19 which is subject to CBDS for 2018/19 where this data was not specified.
