Chief Executive

Tina is an expert within the education sector; in particular, finance services to schools and the opening and management of new and existing school projects.

Starting her professional career in investment and mortgage sales within the banking industry, Tina’s pivotal shift to education happened 18 years ago through her work as a School Bursar and later in the strategic arena leading the Schools Financial Team for her local government.

In 2004, she moved to private school consultancy and in a natural career trajectory, opened SBS in 2007.

As part owner of SBS, Tina has been instrumental in setting up our successful company and now leads our Directors and Managers to provide exceptional services to schools in the UK and overseas.

Tina divides her time between the UK and Dubai. She enjoys paddleboarding, golf, watching rugby, spa days and the gym during her leisure time. She is also an avid reader and practices meditation and yoga!

Mark Tadman

Mark Tadman


Mark has worked to deliver education services for nearly 15 years and has a wealth of experience in the sector.

Previously his career had been in the private sector working for large IT organisations that delivered services for thousands of users. Mark’s move to education began with his passion to provide improved ICT services for schools, acknowledging that staff and students required corporate standard infrastructure and systems to enable excellent teaching and learning.

In 2008 Mark founded School Business Services with Tina Brown. The company immediately made an impact in the education sector due to its dedicated staff and excellent customer service. Mark is responsible for the ICT & MIS services within SBS and is constantly striving to improve services, make day-to-day operations more convenient for schools and reduce their costs.

Mark has been instrumental in establishing key partnerships with many leading providers of services in education to expand the offering of SBS, and its reputation and reach to new customers.

Mark enjoys (watching) football, rugby and occasionally is allowed onto a golf course.

Richard Page

Richard Page

Operations Manager

Richard has overall responsibility for strategic and operational running of the ICT service and the cloud-based budgeting software SBS Online.

During his career in the financial services sector, Richard has worked in a number of key service delivery and project management roles, specialising in software development and back office system improvement.

With a wealth of experience working for global investment banking firms, he understands the importance and impact of reliable, user-friendly software and the valuable, accurate data it provides the end-user.

Engaging customers to understand their challenges and to outline service and functional improvement, Richard is passionate about responsive service delivery and the continued improvement of all SBS services.

Richard and his teams are proud to support over 800 schools across the ICT and SBS Online services, offering exceptional levels of professionalism, integrity, expertise and innovation.

Lisa Kelly

Lisa Kelly

Operations Manager

Lisa is a school finance & business professional with over 17 years’ experience working in, and providing consultancy for schools to maximise their resources and deliver world-class teaching and learning.

She is adept in providing strategic financial management training, including the preparation of management accounts, development and implementation of school improvement and creating business plans in conjunction with relevant teams.

Lisa has a wealth of experience in the development of a commercial strategy through networking opportunities within business, education and community to raise the profile of schools, identify gaps and market the facilities available.

Lisa is also responsible for leading and developing a team of finance professionals directly supporting the education sector.

Viv Reed

Viv Reed

MIS/SIMS Manager

Viv has been working within the education arena for over 20 years, both within schools and for nearly 6 years within a Capita Accredited Local Authority as Manager of the SIMS support unit.

Currently managing the Capita Accredited MIS Team for SBS, Viv is considered skilled in the wide range of SIMS modules across the board and is a specialist expert within the secondary sector.

Viv has given many presentations and electives at Capita/SIMS national conferences covering a wide range of SIMS uses and was shortlisted for a BECTa excellence award. She has helped produce Capita/SIMS training materials (used by many Authority support units), including the School Improvement Programme courses, such as those for Senior Leadership Teams, Pastoral Officers and Inclusion Managers.

Whilst working within a secondary school, Viv was mentioned by name in an Ofsted inspection report for excellence in the use of pupil data. Viv continues to be a Senior Associate Member of the Institute of IT Training (IITT) and is confident in her approach to consultancy and training.

Client Relationship Manager

Leyla is our Client Relationship Manager and responsible for Customer Service and Marketing at SBS.

Having worked in the services to schools sector for over 20 years, Leyla’s experience in Finance, ICT and MIS management roles means she has an in-depth knowledge of the range of professional services SBS offers and the needs and requirements of schools and academies.

Passionate about exceptional customer service and committed to helping schools achieve best value for money, Leyla strives to ensure this is at the heart of service delivery across the company.
