CFR Framework Changes

CFR Framework banner

There has been two changes to the CFR Framework for the financial year 2019/20.

The Consistent Financial Reporting (CFR) framework provides a standard template for all maintained schools to collect information about their income and expenditure in the financial year 2019 to 2020.

The new structure for 2019/2020 splits I08 into two categories:

  • I08a – Income from lettings
  • I08b – Income from facilities and services

This implements a government commitment made in the publication ‘A connected society: a strategy for tackling loneliness’ to collect separately data on which schools are making their premises available for use by outside groups.

Moreover, free school meals supplementary grant has also been added under I18: additional grants for schools.

We have updated SBS Online to reflect these changes to the CFR Framework by changing I08 to I08b and created I08a. This means that changes are only required if Budget Codes for lettings need to be remapped.

If I08a is needed, please follow instructions shown on your SBS Online planner dashboard.

Please call the Service Desk on 0345 222 1551, option 8 or email sbsonline@schoolbusinessservices.co.uk if you have any questions.
